Product Presentation:
Gate valves are used in various contexts to start or stop a flow. The lowering of their gate-shaped wedge determines the total obstruction of the flow. In service, gate valves are fully open or fully closed and for this reason they are also called shut-off valves (on/off). Gate valves have a bi-directional configuration, because the flow can enter through both directions.
Gate valves are commonly made of steel. Metal coatings (such as Stellite) on the sealing parts guarantee high resistance to corrosion and wear.
